Milestones

1888

Founded as Spinnereimaschinenfabrik SEYDEL & Co. to manufacture machines for processing and spinning flax and other hard vegetable fibres, Seydel is today the leading company in the manufacture of stretch-break converters for acrylic tow and preparation machines for other synthetic fibre polymers.

1930

With the invention of polyamide – Seydel developed the first stretch-break converter.
